TPM Muckraker reports that either a nameless Republican* is blocking Neil Barofsky’s appointment as special inspector general for the Treasury in charge of seeing that taxpayers’ money is, err, well-spent, or there’s a tug of war going on between the Finance Committee and the Banking Committee as to which is responsible for the appointment.
* Apparently, Nameless is miffed that Barofsky supported Obama for the win. Say what?!
